From petite prima to center stage!

Being a public school teacher is rewarding, and you do get to see your students grow and develop into wonderful young adults, but not usually for as long as with an after-school artistic endeavor.
As a dance teacher, I have a unique opportunity. I get to enjoy wee ones who bounce into class as funny, giggly bundles of happiness, listen to their stories each week, see them concentrate, jump, turn, tumble, and use trial and error as they gain strength, become more flexible and skilled.
There is nothing better than seeing a former wee one step out onto a stage, knowing everything they need to do, dance beautifully, shine for the audience and thoroughly enjoy the moment as well.
From the Les Petites class to a featured Free Spirits Dance Company performer, it's a pleasure and an honor to be a part of their lives! The memories we make are theirs to keep, but I have countless memories I treasure as well. It's a labor of love.
I want to wish Samantha (featured above) a wonderful 10th year of dance in 2017/18! It's been a joy getting to know you and seeing you develop into such a beautiful dancer!
