Earth Dancer is a community dance school, get to know us!

Since the beginning, we have been all about community.

We began as a program with the Rindge Recreation Department back in 1996. Our classes quickly jumped from one, to two, then three days a week. Our Free Spirits Dance Company rehearsals were on Saturday at the Jaffrey Civic Center. At our roots, we're about connecting with families and organizations in our towns.

Eventually, needing more space, we found a home at the United Church of Jaffrey in what was once their youth group meeting space. The church members have always been welcoming to us, kind and supportive of all we do.

Over the years, we have performed at festivals and fairs all over the Monadnock Region including the Keene and Milford pumpkin festivals, Jaffrey Christmas Fair, Rindge Snowflake Fair, Children and the Arts Festival, churches, community groups, nursing homes, assisted living centers and other great venues!

School is a priority, and so is sharing our art with other students! We have performed at for the Jaffrey after-school program and offered performances and workshops at many regional schools including Jaffrey, Rindge, Winchendon, Antrim NH and the B.F. Brown Vision School in Fitchburg MA.

Earth Dancer has also sponsored our own events including workshops at our studio and in schools, a free community Teddy Bear Tea and a Fairy Tea.

We're a school with a conscience.

We care about the environment and our Eco Scouts Environmental Explorers youth group explores the outdoors and does community service projects.

The Extreme Dance Team has taken teen dancers on outdoor adventures in the mountains for a wild, bumpy ride in a pingauzer, ziplining, to the Flume Gorge and Clark's Trading Post.

Our dance parties, such as Fall Fun Night and our Valentine Pajama Party are BYOB - bring your own bottle that is! Dancers bring a water bottle from home with their name on it. No empty cups left around, no spills and no plastic trash!

We offer leveled classes, but when it comes to performance time, different ages and levels come together as a team, mentoring and inspiring each other.

Our students have come to us from all over the Monadnock Region - Jaffrey, Rindge, Sharon, Peterborough, Antrim, Temple, New Ipswich, Troy and Fitzwilliam NH and Templeton and Winchendon MA. We welcome all students to classes that are about learning, having fun, respect, kindness, support, team building, personal growth and accomplishment.

We want to be part of the solution.We know that we're not just training dancers, we're part of the education of a child. What we do matters and develops a caring, concerned and active citizen who will benefit their community and planet.

We love our community and our dancers and it shows in everything we do. We are a dance family.
