It's time to order your new dance attire, tights and shoes for fall classes!

The best selection is available now and you can take your time making sure you have exactly what you need. August is a rush and many items start going on back order. You may not be able to get the dance items you need before the first class.
Have you looked at this year's required attire list yet? You'll find a complete list, including links, on the "Classes" page.
DANCE SHOES
It's important to read the dance attire list carefully. Most of it is pretty straightforward, but it's easy to see an inexpensive pair of ballet slippers and grab them thinking you're getting a bargain only to find out they are canvas instead of leather. Canvas shoes are slippery, wear out and shred too quickly for young feet and cannot be wiped clean. For more details, check out the list on the classes page.
SIZING TIPS
1. Read the sizing chart specific to the item you are purchasing. Even within the same brand, styles may vary in how they run - narrow, wide, tight, etc.
2. Do not buy dance shoes to be grown into. Ballet slippers and other dance shoes should have no more than a small pinch at the toe. Anything more and your child is likely to trip.
3. Read the reviews of the item. You may learn some valuable information. For instance, Foot Undeez run very, very small and even children usually wear adult sizes.
4. Whether it's online a physical dance store, call them and ask how to size the product. Ask for the name of the person who spoke with.
5. If after calling the dance store, you still have questions, call us. If you've already received the item and you're not sure if it fits well, send us a photo or video of your dancer in the item.
6. Ask and know the return policy of the dance retailer. If you need to make a return, do it right away. You usually don't get a lot of time to return it. If you're not sure about the item, do not wear it.
7. Dancers who have taken pointe at another school, and is new to our school, will need to be evaluated. Please contact us before purchasing new pointe shoes.
LEOTARDS
Our dancers all wear black leotards (no attached skirts) and pink convertible tights. This helps us to focus on learning dance, rather than dance fashions. It also makes class more economical for parents and easier on the eyes for the instructor.
TIGHTS
We recommend convertible tights for all our dance classes.
DANCE BAGS
Whether it has a ballerina on the side, says "dance" on it, or you use a tote bag, be sure to have a zippered bag dedicated to your dance attire and a make up case that has extra hair elastics, hair nets and bun pins (which are different from bobby pins), so you are always prepared. Do not take your dance shoes out of this bag when you're not in class, so you won't be surprised by missing shoes when you arrive for class! All shoes, dance sweaters and other dance items should have your name in them for easy return if misplaced.

Please carefully check our required attire list before making purchases. If you have any questions, ask before making the purchase and keep your receipt. Always ask what the return policy is. Wearing or using purchased items usually voids return.
