HERE'S HOW TO SET THE TONE FOR BALLET CLASS EACH WEEK!

DANCE ATTIRE

The best way to click your dancer into class mode each week is for her to be prepared with her class attire - a black leotard, pink convertible tights, well fitted pink leather ballet slippers, and of course, every ballerina needs her hair in a bun for every class, every week! How you prepare for class matters. It helps dancers to envision themselves as a gorgeous, graceful shimmering ballerina.

SLOWING DOWN

When we're well prepared, we're focused on class and not other distractions like hair coming out or falling in the face. We walk into dance class standing a little taller, moving a bit more gracefully, and ready to work our bodies and minds! It slows us down to prepare our body for a gentle warm up and gets our creative juices flowing!

DANCE BAG

Dance Moms & Dads can help dancers click into dance mode each week by making sure dance attire is clean, all Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz & Tap shoes are in your dancer's bag, along with all the accessories she'll need like her ballet belt, dance sweater, extra hair pins and a brush!

GETTING INTO CLASS MODE

We can all help dancers get into class mode by taking our voices and energy down to a softer, more relaxed tone. We're often on the go, rushing from here to there. If siblings are with you, bring quiet activities or read to them so dancers are not distracted by the noise in the waiting area. It also gives parents a little bit of quiet down time in their day! If we help dancers to be calm before class, they will have an easier time thinking clearly during class and enjoy it more!
