"Scientists are concerned that recent increases in childhood illnesses like asthma, cancer and learning disabilities, may be related to what children eat, drink and breathe. In this NOW Special Report, Bill investigates if everyday chemicals — like the kind that kill insects and weeds, clean our clothes and carpets, and create perfect produce and lawns — are contributing to this toxic environment.
This episode of NOW With Bill Moyers looked at the 75,000 synthetic chemicals and metals introduced in the US over the previous 70 years, and questioned whether they could be making our children sick. Most have never been tested for their toxic effects on children."
