Defending their land, water, sacred burial sites in the face of militarized response

CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT'S HAPPENING AT STANDING ROCK?

This sums it up pretty well. First Nations are being kept from praying at or going to a sacred native burial site. When they try to cross the water, they are blocked by DAPL security, state and local police in a militarized presence. This land belongs to Standing Rock as per the Treaty of Fort Laramie. The UN and Amnesty International USA are now on site to document what is taking place.
