Patricia A. Martin has announced a write-in campaign for N.H. House in Cheshire District 11, which has two seats covering Fitzwilliam and Rindge.
Martin is jumping into a race as the sole Democratic competitor against two Republicans chosen in the Sept. 13 state primaries. John E. O’Day and incumbent John B. Hunt, both of Rindge, emerged as the nominees for the two seats in that race, displacing incumbent Susan Emerson of Rindge. Martin was an active participant in the campaign to oppose the project, in which Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co., a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan, sought federal approval for a pipeline cutting across southern New Hampshire, including Rindge and four other Cheshire County towns. She spoke at meetings in Keene and Rindge, and joined a contingency that traveled to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia to advocate for clean energy." Read full article.
