PROTESTER 101: THE LOCK BOX

Ever wonder why protesters use lock boxes and what they are? Inside the lock box is a mechanism which the protester attaches to when they put their hand inside. They can easily detach from the mechanism and each other, but separating connected individuals safely, without harm is complicated for police. This keeps protesters in place to continue their demonstration while police negotiate requests and/or work to free them from the lock box.
