ECHO Action's Stephanie Scherr joined Kaity Thomson of 350 New Hampshire at their meeting with Governor Hassan's staff to present her with a nearly 2,000 signature petition. The petitions asks her to request federal officials to assign a task force to study offshore wind in the Gulf of Maine.

Meeting attendees told personal stories about their environmental efforts and why it's important for NH to be leaders in clean energy. The need to stop pipeline expansion in Concord and the NED pipeline battle were discussed.

The meeting was followed by a rally for offshore wind on the NH State House lawn with about 50 participants singing and speaking out for climate action and renewable energy. ECHO Action's Mary Beth Raven joined the rally.

Offshore wind may provide as much as 50% of NH's energy needs. Floating turbines would be several miles offshore and barely noticeable from shore.

Thank you to our friends at 350NH for arranging the meeting and rally and inviting us to participate! YES to #NHoffshoreWIND!
