ECHO Action has received a grant from New England Grassroots Environmental Fund that

will be used to further our campaign promoting continued leadership in Keene on climate action and renewable energy.

The campaign focuses on education and engagement of citizens and businesses on the economic, environmental and community benefits of choosing heat pumps and solar over natural (fracked) gas.

On June 15th, a temporary gas plant was approved for the Monadnock Marketplace. The gas plant would only be used for two winters. Liberty Utilities has already begun seeking contracts for a permanent gas plant. An upcoming forum will be focused on the benefits of converting to renewable energy.
