Organizations from all over New Hampshire descended upon the State House yesterday to participate in the March for Science. ECHO Action had a busy table. The hot topics of the day were the potential in offshore wind and the new pipeline route. (Yes, there really is a new route.) Science supporters were eager to hear about renewable energy and to visit the many colorful and informative displays.
Organizations present included NH Sierra Club, 350NH, Seacoast Anti-Pollution League, Moms Clean Air Force, League of Conservation Voters, Citizens Climate Lobby, NH Plastic Pollution Alliance, March Against Monsanto, Rights & Democracy, United Progressives of NH and more. Attendees were estimated at 2,000.
ECHO Action is now gearing up to head to Washington, D.C. for the People's Climate March on Saturday, April 29th! Buses subsidized by 350NH leave from Portsmouth/Dover, Concord, Nashua and Keene. 350VT & 350MA are also sponsoring buses to national march.
Thanks to Marc Nozell for this panoramic shot of the crowd!
