OWNER OF FORMER TROY MILLS PROPERTY FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY

The future of the former Troy Mills property on Monadnock Street is again in limbo after its owner filed for bankruptcy early last month.

The nonprofit Troy Redevelopment Group, which has owned the 19-acre property for about the past 10 years, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy Dec. 7, 2015, in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manchester.

The corporation seeks to liquidate its assets, including the approximately 316,000-square-foot mill complex, and use that money to pay off more than $1 million in debts, according to the filing.
