Renewable energy goals of 2050 or 2030 are irresponsible, suggesting we can wait

MANY ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS CALL FOR 100% RENEWABLE BY 2050 OR 2030, AN IRRESPONSIBLE GOAL

These low bar goals are dangerous and enhance the belief that we can take our time transitioning to renewable energy. Too many large national organizations have still not called for a ban on fracking and are not opposed to gas and pipelines. Their political connections stifle them, limiting their reach and impact.

Organizations who still call gas a "bridge fuel" should be called out by their own. Their fear of losing supporters, rather than leading them, holds us all hostage to the fossil fuel industry and doomed to a planet of chaos and war over food, water and habitat.
